The preliminary hearing for the case involving former President Ilir Meta, Monika Kryemadhi and three other people was postponed to November 17, at 09:00. The reason was the request filed by Meta's lawyer to exclude Judge Irena Gjoka from the case. According to the defense, the court should first express its opinion on this request, before continuing with the examination of the evidence.
After leaving the premises of the Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, Monika Kryemadhi stated that she will request the return of the file for further investigation to SPAK. She denied that there was new evidence coming from the United States, explaining that it is only a question of returning a response to a registered letter sent by SPAK in 2024.
" My lawyer opposed the submission of the letter of demand to have a clarity that there was false information for the public opinion. There is no new evidence, but it is the return of the response to the letter of demand made by SPAK, the prosecution has violated the procedure by taking the file to trial without closing the investigations. It did not provide any argument, the new materials will highlight who the malicious or saboteurs are, I am not calling them forgers. The GSIS bank accounts show that the amount of money was paid as declared by LSI. But, of course this file will be returned again, which will decide before the justice of GSIS, SPAK or whoever has analyzed this file. We will request the return because the letter of demand from the USA itself brought the correct information and finally sheds light on what happened to GISIS. Reading it with financial experts, it is proven that LSI has paid as many invoices as it declared and that much was deposited into the GSIS bank account. Either with the incompetence of SPAK's financial Lexus or with "The malevolent one ," said Kryemadhi.
