"How could you possibly think of changing the Albanian national identity with the decisions of a perverse communist like Enver Hoxha?", reflections of the well-known publicist

Shkruar nga Filip Guraziu

"How could you possibly think of changing the Albanian national identity

The infamous communist spelling congress in 1972, how the Gheg language was eliminated! Evolution forces a review of the decision of the political-linguistic congress! –

The only argument, the only defense for not revising the language standard, politically established by the Enver communists in 1972, which is being used today by so-called patriots who, in the foreground (allegedly) place the unification of Albanians, has remained the accusation of "national division of Albanians", with which all those people who raise their voices in defense of their mother tongue, Ghegnish, are anathematized.

Is this kind of behavior delusion or demagogy?

Starting from the lack of reason with which the argument of the anathema against the followers of the Ghegnishta is built, one might think that they are "sour" in their psyche, but if we "dig a little deeper", we can conclude that there is actually a large number of accusers who use the same accusation (national division...) and in this case, reason tells us that they cannot all be psychologically mistaken, which side of the scale is where demagogy stands, because the truth is different..., but as the Albanian Language Dictionary explains, the word demagogy:

"Deception of the working masses, luring them with beautiful words and false promises, to make them their own for certain political purposes and goals; the attitude of two-faced politicians, who speak differently and act differently; beautiful and empty words that aim to cover up and distort the truth. Political demagogy (bourgeois, revisionist). Subtle demagogy, Demagogy of the church (of the clergy)" Do you see where we are, esteemed readers? With these communist convictions, the new generation is being educated, with these communist convictions we want to become part of the European Union!

Let us not forget that it is precisely those "intellectuals" who condemned Ghegnish in 1972 and who built the "Dictionary of the Contemporary Albanian Language", on the communist ideological principle of class struggle (as I said) with only 40,000 words(!), who today shout, scream and anathematize anyone who demands their legitimate right, for the preservation of the Albanian national identity, for the preservation of their mother tongue, Ghegnish.

Why have you, oh "pseudo patriots of Albanian national unity", never said a word, never demonstrated concern for the deep Albanian national division caused by the (infamous communist) Congress of the Law of 1972, eliminating the Ghegnish language spoken by 2/3 of Albanians?! How is it that according to you, Ghegnish is not an Albanian cultural asset? The Albanian of the Arbnore mountains, which symbolically represents the "Albanian Identity" has two wings; the Ghegnish and the Tuscan, the wounding of one wing brings "Albania" to the ground.

Why don't you want to understand that only with Tuscan can there be an "Albanian Identity", that is, true spiritual unity. The principle of proletarian internationalism has been so deeply ingrained in your soul that it does not allow you to understand that a people without a "National Identity" is destroyed, cannot exist?

How do you think, oh "blessed ones", that with the political decisions of a perverse communist like Enver Hoxha, you will change the Albanian national identity?! Do you remember Enver's decision to eradicate religious beliefs in Albania in 1967? What happened after 1990?

Albanians today are many times more religious than before 1967. This fate will also befall another absurd communist decision of 1972, to abolish the Ghegnish language. The facts speak for themselves; Like it or not, today hundreds and hundreds of people write prose and poetry in Ghegnish and millions of others speak it in society and in their families…!

Gather your mind, you "Don Quixote" based in the Academy, at least put to work that part of your brain that may have remained unideologized, move away from ideological fanaticism and reason; "National Identity and Albanianism" weigh many times more than your ideological formation which inspires you with hatred for every value of the Ghegs.

Albanian brothers from wherever you are; understand once and for all that none of us seeks the division of Albanians, but their true unity; their spiritual unity. By valuing the Ghegnish, we value and consolidate the "Albanian Identity" and cement that deep unity of Albanians that that political congress created.

Every time before you react, you should remember that:

70% of Albanians speak Ghegnish.

Even Homer spoke Gegnish (The legendary Homer's masterpieces, written about 2600 years ago, contain more Gegnish words than modern Greek!)

Gegë is the founder of the "Albanian National Identity", the Albanian National Hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu.

The first Albanian writing is documented with Gegnishte, “Formula of Baptism” (Mr. Pal Engjelli, 1467).
The history of Albanian book writing begins with Gegnishte (Dom. Gjon Buzuku, 1555)

The first novel in the Albanian language, "Çeta e profetëve" (The Prophets' Company) was written in Gegnisht (Pjeter Bogdani, 17th century).
From the Gegnish writers who wrote the story of the legendary Gjergj Kastrioti and the siege of Shkodra by the Turks, etc. (Marin Barleti, Marin Beçikemi, Frang Bardhi), the world learned about the values of the Albanian nation.

"The Lahuta e malcië", the epic masterpiece of Albanian and European literature by the national poet Father Gjergj Fishta, was written in Gegnisht. The nightingale of Albanian poetry, Dom Ndre Mjeda, sang in Gegnisht of Albanian nature.

The first translations of world literary masterpieces by translators Gjon Shllaku, Pashko Gjeçi, Gulielm Deda, and Henrik Lacaj were remarkable.

They have written in Gegnisht; Pashko Vasa, Filip Shiroka, Kostandin Kristofotidhi, Dom. Anton Zanoni, Dom Ndoc Nikaj, At Shtjefen Gjeçovi, Imz. Vincens Prendushi, Hilë Mosi, Luigj Gurakuqi, Father Justin Rrota, Father Anton Harapi, Migjeni, Father Benardin Palaj, Zef Curani, Ernest Koliqi, Martin Camaj, Et'hem Haxhiademi, Murat Toptani, Josif Bageri, Risto Siliqi, Haki Sharofi, Haxhi Ibrahim Dalliu, Mustafa Greblleshi, Dom Lazer Shantoja, Dom Ndre Zadeja, Zef Pali, Sami Repishti, Father Donat Kurti, Injac Zamputi, Kolë Ashta, Kolë Kamsi, Arshi Pipa, Qemal Draçini, Hamit Gjylbegu, Father Zef Pllumi, At Konrad Gjolaj, Monsignor Frano Illia, Monsignor Zef Simoni, Father Meshkalla, Havzi Nela, Simon Rrota, Emidio Tedeschini, Zef Benussi, Zef Zorba, Ahmet Bushati, Lec Shllaku, Andrea Shkanjeti, Ernest Pikolini, Gjovalin Zeza, etc., etc.

I left it for last, because it has special value, but don't forget the Albanian brotherhood, because the mother I know in the world, the mother of all poor people, wherever they are, is the Albanian Mother Teresa of Gegnia...!

We could continue until tomorrow, demonstrating the values of the Gheg language and the cultural contribution of the Ghegs in the field of culture and sports, as well as their activity in consolidating the Albanian country, but I find it appropriate to conclude these lines by expressing my deep gratitude and maximum appreciation for all those Albanians originating from the south of Albania, who, with their Tosknish language, contributed so much not only to the Albanian people of the past, but also to the cultural consolidation and Albanian identity, as well as to the progress of Albanian society, regardless of the south or the north.

Linguistic evolution requires and forces the revision of a people's language, world experience confirms this action, only materialist Albanian academics act contrary to their beliefs, they do not accept the evolution of the language, as a result, even after 52 years, they do not accept the revision of the decisions of the political linguistic congress of 1972!

You can't have an Albanian identity by eliminating the Tuscan one.

There can be no Albanian identity without eliminating the Ghegnish language.

The above, ORDERS the revision of the standard language with the objective of optimally integrating Tuscan with Georgian.

Together, then, Toskë and Gegë, as in the poetry of the great Father. Gjergj Fishta, with the help of the rule of law, where "Albanianism" should be at the top of the list, we have enabled the flourishing of the country of Albanians. AMEN./ Memorie.al
