The situation in Delvina is still critical. Smoke has engulfed the area due to massive flames, and there are also power outages.
Meanwhile, the fire continued to burn with high intensity even during the night. Flames are still burning in the hills surrounding the city, while air intervention is expected.
The fire reached large proportions during the evening hours. The flames, which initially started in Finiq, spread to the territory of Delvina. Residents were evacuated, while patients and medical staff of the hospital were also relocated.
Oxygen cylinders were also moved from the hospital building, as they were at risk from fire. Patients, doctors, and equipment were temporarily transferred to the Palace of Culture.
The fire also threatened oil wells. Residents said the flames spread very quickly. They said many homes were burned, while authorities said there was no longer any danger to homes.
Earlier, during yesterday's afternoon, the situation became critical in several villages of Gramsh. In Kullollas, the first victim in Gramsh was recorded, an 80-year-old man, who lost his life from asphyxiation. It was a fire that he started in the yard of his house and spread rapidly, including other villages in the area.
