US and British diplomats have 'landed' at SPAK two hours before the start of the trial against Jamarbër Malltez and his partner Fatmir Bektashi.
Two days after the 'compulsion to appear' measure for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the arrest of his son-in-law, who are accused of privatizing the former Partizani complex, representatives of the US Embassy went to the Special Prosecutor's Office today.
A representative of the Great Britain embassy was seen arriving at SPAK premises.
This move comes two hours before the start of the trial at GJKKO against Malltez and his partner Fatmir Bektashi.
The court has not yet set the hearing for the former prime minister Berisha, this is due to the fact that the judicial police officers have not received the notification that Berisha has received information about the security measure against him "Compulsion to appear" and "prohibition of exiting the country".
The former prime minister refused to meet the judicial police officers on Saturday evening, when they arrived at the headquarters of Re-establishment, and refused to sign that he was notified of the security measure against him.
Regarding the issue of the Partizani complex, SPAK arrested Jamarbër Malltezi in Rinas, while Sali Berisha and Fatmir Bektashi have been banned from traveling abroad and are forced to appear before the judicial police.
According to SPAK, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has committed passive corruption in cooperation with Jamarbër Malltez, his daughter's husband, while he has undertaken concrete actions in approving laws and by-laws to adapt them to the needs of the five owner families in the Partizani sports complex. , where his son-in-law was also a direct beneficiary. Sali Berisha carried out active actions in administrative controls to exert pressure and gave concrete orders to end the privatization procedures in favor of Malltez, his daughter's husband, among others.
SPAK also stated that former Prime Minister Berisha took active actions to place various structures of the state administration at the disposal of Malltez for the realization of the process of privatization of state property.
Malltezi is suspected of having committed passive corruption in cooperation with his father-in-law Sali Berisha, using his power as prime minister, benefiting from the privatization of sports grounds and facilities, from changing the destination from sports areas to residential areas, significant amounts in quality of the investor from the company "Homeplan" sh.pk, without investing in it, as well as benefits received before being declared as a partner in this company.
While in cooperation with the builder Fatmir Bektashi, Malltezi is suspected of having cleaned the proceeds of the criminal offense, presenting himself as an investor in the works for the construction of the block of flats, while it turns out that he did not invest, performing financial actions, fragmented transactions , or in cash, to hide the origin and to profit illegally amounts up to over 5 million euros.
Bektashi is accused of having, in cooperation with Malltezi, cleaned the proceeds of the criminal offense while hiding the true origin of Malltezi's irregular monetary benefits, presenting them as legitimate business income.
