The Freedom Party, the Reestablishment and the Alliance for the Protection of the Theater will hold another protest today in front of the Tirana City Hall.
Due to the protest, the State Police has announced that from 09:45 there will be a temporary traffic jam on the main boulevard near Tirana City Hall.
"In implementation of the plan of measures, the State Police announces that, tomorrow, at 09:45 a.m. and following, there will be a temporary blockage of vehicle traffic, on the main boulevard near the Tirana Municipality. For this reason, we suggest that alternative roads be used, until the end of the rally, such as the Middle Ring and the Great Ring," the police announced.
These measures come after two violent protests in front of the Municipality of Tirana, where protesters threw Molotov cocktails, endangering the lives of police officers.
The police call on the organizers and participants to avoid any act of violence and to respect the law.
"The Tirana Local Police Directorate fully respects the right of citizens to organize and participate in peaceful gatherings. The police call on the organizers, leaders and participants in the gatherings to respect the law and distance themselves from any act of violence", the announcement states.
