Lawyer Kreshnik Spahi said in an interview that without the USA, Kosovo is not a sovereign state and loses its independence for 24 hours.
According to Spahiu, Rama's project and Great Britain's negotiation are the last offer of the US to Kurti and if he does not accept, the northern Serbs gain autonomy within the territory of Kosovo.
" The USA no longer accepts Kurti at the table, neither Berlin contacts him, nor Paris, nor Brussels. The last offer for Kurti is the project of Rama and London, after that comes the sanctions and the worst one is that the north turns into an international protectorate and Kosovo loses control, autonomy is given to the Serbs within the state of Kosovo. The worst offer beyond the association will be the autonomy of the Serbs in Kosovo, and this will hold Kurt's bill ," Spahiu told Euronews Albania.
Spahiu said that the draft for the association sent by Rama to Berlin and France is known, and Kurti has known about it for several days.
Spahiu called on the Prime Minister of Kosovo to consider the Albanian project and not the French one. According to him, this is the last step that Kurti can take in order not to further distance Kosovo from Albania.
" I appeal to Kurt, who is an Albanian prime minister, that it is in his dignity to consider Albania's project before that of France, Germany, the EU. It should consider the Albanian project and not that of France. It's the last step he can take to not further alienate Kosovo from Albania.
