Lawyer Rezart Kthupi spoke about the new justice system and what is expected from SPAK this year. Kthupi stated that the architecture of the justice system should not be affected.
"The way the justice system works is the architecture, so how vacancies are resolved and filled, the rest of the legislation is the other side of the coin. But what is worrying is whether the architecture will be touched. The architecture of the justice system should not be touched," he told "Abc News".
Kthupi also stated that it is urgent to resolve the issue of backlogged files, while adding that the legislation needs to be reviewed.
The lawyer emphasized that "some changes are needed in the way the trial is conducted so that it does not become protracted."
"We must urgently resolve the backlog of files. As we speak, the Court of Appeal is overwhelmed. It must be given a boost, conditions, infrastructure and human resources must be created. We must also have some changes in the way the trial is conducted so that it does not become protracted ," he declared.
