The chaos of vehicle traffic continues for the third consecutive day on the Prrenjas–Librazhd–Elbasan–Krraba Tunnel–Tirana national road axis.
The problematic situation is being repeated this weekend, while the high flow of vehicles in both directions of the road has made it almost impossible to normalize traffic.
It is learned that despite the increased presence of Traffic Police forces, traffic discipline remains difficult due to the large number of vehicles and the depreciated conditions of the infrastructure in several segments where works have been carried out to expand it, part of Corridor Eight.
The problems are further aggravated by the poor condition of the road in certain areas, especially at the Murrashi Bends and the Dragostunja Bends, where the widening segments are riddled with potholes and are dangerous for road users. These damages not only slow down traffic, but also pose a serious risk to road safety.
Authorities call on drivers to exercise maximum caution, to respect traffic signs and instructions from the Traffic Police, while the possibility that the traffic situation will continue to be problematic in the coming hours cannot be ruled out.
