Lawyer Ndue Pjetra has requested that the High Prosecutorial Council take measures regarding the stock of files in the courts.
The lawyer said that up to 80 thousand files are in the Court of Appeals alone.
" Every time the KPL asks to take measures for the work of the files, politics comes up and tells them to stop. They wait for their initiative with their claims. Regarding the stocks in the Appeal alone, there are 70 to 80 thousand stock files that take several years. And it comes as a result of new judges. Cases that a judge has been in stock for two years and has not given any decision, the judge will need time to review.
This creates a stock because two years pass from what was a stock, and this one takes another few years. These stocks are made on purpose, should this be considered abuse of power, this should be verified by other institutions. A case that should have taken 3 months goes to 1 year in investigation, because the prosecutor does not have time to deal with it , "he said on Report TV.
