For more than four hours, the Mandates Council has been reviewing SPAK's request for permission to arrest Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
Sources close to the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, told the media that in response to questions from Democratic MPs, the Prosecution "informed that there is evidence that some "strong" people (meaning elements of organized crime) have threatened witnesses on behalf of Ms. Balluku. They have also presented evidence for this at the Council meeting, transcripts of conversations."
Meanwhile, during the meeting, sources for Top Channel said that SPAK prosecutor Dritan Prençi denied the content distributed in the media.
According to the same sources, he clarified that the word "strong" refers to people in Deputy Prime Minister Balluku's cabinet and not other people.
