The Immunity Council met for the second time to review the request, while the Deputy Prime Minister herself was not present.
The meeting, which started at 10:00, is being held behind closed doors at the request of SPAK as the matter constitutes an investigative secret.
Mandates Council member Ulsi Manja has asked SPAK prosecutors questions about their statements that Belinda Balluku, directly and through other parties, has threatened witnesses regarding her case.
Ulsi Manja: Are those who have been threatened witnesses or defendants?
Prosecution: There are other defendants, as well as witnesses who are not defendants.
Manja: Has all the evidence been seized?
Prosecution: No.
Ulsi Manja: What is the mechanism through which Balluku is destroying evidence after it is suspended?
Prosecutor: Balluku is on duty. The mechanism, meeting with subordinates.
The head of SPAK, Klodian Braho, the prosecutors of the case, Dritan Prençi and Dorina Bejko, as well as all members of this council, are present in the Presidency of the Assembly.
Balluku is not present at the meeting, but has sent her two lawyers, Pamela Qirko (her sister) and Ardian Kalia.
