During the session at the Council of Mandates and Immunities, the head of the Democratic parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, asked SPAK prosecutors whether their request to the Assembly was politically motivated or not.
"Is the request you have brought to us for the authorization of the Assembly for the arrest of Belinda Balluku based on political motives?", Bardhi addressed the group of 3 SPAK prosecutors (Klodian Braho, Dritan Prençi and Dorina Bejko).
Reports indicate that in their response, the prosecutors stated that their request has nothing to do with political motives. They stated that everything is based on evidence and facts.
Earlier, Belinda Balluku's lawyers asked SPAK to present evidence and facts on what they considered to be SPAK's suspicion that the Deputy Prime Minister, suspended from government functions, could leave Albania, while respecting the decisions of the Courts.
