After more than 4 hours of closed-door meetings, the three SPAK prosecutors and the two legal defenders of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure, who has been suspended from duty, left the Mandates and Immunities Council, which is expected to make a decision regarding the Special Prosecution's request for an authorization from the Assembly, regarding a new security measure for Belinda Balluku.
SPAK prosecutors have insisted that the Assembly grant SPAK authorization, while defense lawyers have requested that the request be dismissed, calling it unsupported by facts and evidence. According to the lawyers, SPAK must prove that Balluku will leave the country before requesting the imposition of another security measure.
During the closed-door debate, SPAK prosecutors described Belinda Balluku's position as aggravated. Reports indicate that SPAK stated that when the suspension was requested, the suspended Deputy Prime Minister was facing up to 10 years in prison, while now she faces up to 35 years in prison.
"In the situation when the first measure was requested against Ms. Balluku, she risked up to 10 years in prison; today as we speak, her situation has worsened, and with the prosecution's charges at this moment, Ms. Balluku risks up to 35 years in prison.
"He committed the same crime 9 times. Each offense is punishable by 4 years. With the addition of sentences, this is the margin of the offense ," SPAK prosecutors declared.
This is the first time that in cases handled in the Assembly and related to requests for authorization of arrest of legislators, Prosecutors also make the claim, without starting the trial process. ( Updating )

Ky eshte standarti i deejtesise ne Shqiperi ku. Hajduti mbrohet me ligj Spak thote Ujku keta akoma kerkojne gjurmet
