The President of the Academy of Sciences has used the discussion on the protection of the ecosystem and wildlife in the country to ask for more funding. In front of his local and foreign colleagues, he emphasizes the necessity of finance for scientific research in every field.
"It is very necessary not only for economic development, but also for education itself because it is the basic food to qualify the pedagogical and academic staff, raising the level of the entire system ," he said.
The chairman of the parliamentary committee on productive activity, Arben Pëllumbi, emphasizes that soon in the assembly there will be a special law regarding water management.
" We are working on the drafting of a suitable legislation with the European directives in relation to the obligation we have with the European directives ", said Pëllumbi.
Research on freshwater marine ecology, river-marine and coastal ecosystems, legislation related to pollution monitoring and management were at the center of the panelists' speech.
