At the weekend, air temperatures will drop significantly throughout the country. Meteorologist Akil Osmani says that snowfall is expected in mountainous areas, while temperatures will drop close to zero on Saturday morning.
" Unstable weekend and very low temperatures will be experienced by our country during this period. Clouds are forecast to develop further, bringing showers in the form of showers across much of the western lowlands. Rainfall will be significant in the late evening hours, but it is predicted that the morning of Saturday will show the locks of snow, mainly more visible in the northeastern areas and the southeastern edge of the Albanian territory.
The districts that will be affected by the snowfall are Kukësi, Peshkopia, Bajram Curri, Puka, snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas. As far as Sunday is concerned, we will have significant improvements in the weather conditions, causing us to have alternations of clear skies and clouds. Saturday will bring a significant drop in air temperatures as a result of cold air masses, which are descending from the North Pole towards the Balkan region, affecting the Albanian territory as well. We will have temperatures, which will drop in the early hours of the morning to 0 or 1 degrees Celsius" , Osmani said.
