KPP tenders, GJKKO gives SPAK 45 days for additional investigations

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has not accepted SPAK's request to discontinue the investigations against the former head of the Public Procurement Commission, Jonaid Myzyri.

SPAK had requested the closure of the proceedings for one of the criminal episodes where Myzyri is accused of “violation of equality in tenders.” However, the court assessed that the request should not be accepted and decided to return the case for further investigation.

According to the court's decision, SPAK has been given a period of 45 days to conduct an expert report and complete the investigations related to this file.

We recall that Myzyri was indicted by the Special Prosecution Office in June 2025 for the criminal offense of "Violation of equality of participants in public tenders or auctions", committed in collaboration.

The charge relates to the tender with the object "Routine maintenance with performance of the Rreshen (Fanit)- Shpal, Shpal- Bene Q.- Hadroj K., Shpal- Repsit Bridge", with a total length of 58.7 km and a value of around 2.2 million euros.

In addition to Jonaid Myzyraj, 10 other people have been charged in this procurement procedure, 7 of whom are accused of violating equality in public tenders, committed in collaboration.
