As the tensions in the Assembly have increased and the threats to the justice personalities have also increased, the government has decided to increase the number of guards in the country. Yesterday, 3 decisions were taken by the Council of Ministers, detailing the actions of the Guard regarding the protection of personalities.
First, the government has increased the number of soldiers in the Guard, bringing it to 1,505. The government has also changed the decision regarding the protection of SPAK members, the Special Court and the Bureau of Investigation.
" Personal protection can also be provided on the basis of a simple request submitted, as the case may be, by the president of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, the President of the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime or The head of the Special Prosecution ", the decision states.
According to the decision, the personal protection of the judges of the anti-corruption and organized crime courts and the prosecutors of the Special Prosecutor's Office is guaranteed by being accompanied by a mid-level bodyguard.
" Additional measures for the special personal protection of the family and property of judges and prosecutors of the Court against Corruption and Organized Crime and the Special Prosecutor's Office in case of danger to his/her life, health or family and property are determined and granted according to the rules of defined in the decision of the Council of Ministers for the special protection of the magistrate ", it is further stated.
The government has also increased the number of personalities that can be guarded by the Guard. According to the decision, they will be accompanied by representatives of: the National Agency of the Information Society and the National Authority for Electronic Certification and Cyber Security.
The changes come at a time when the opposition is trying to create chaos in the Assembly and the number of guards engaged has been large.
