While commenting on Trump's blocking of funds for NGOs, Gent Progni, an IT expert, said that money has also come to Albania in other forms, but no one knows where this money goes.
Progni raises concerns that the funds, which on paper are aid for various sectors, may have also influenced censorship or media favoritism.
The IT expert mentioned on "Vizion Plus" the existence of a blacklist of people who are not allowed to participate in the shows, as well as the fact that the beneficiaries of these funds appear to have been the same for 30 years.
Excerpt from the interview:
Borakaj: Is the salary level a concern or where does this funding go?
Progni: It's true that they said it was $500 million for 30 years, but I think it's more. Money has also come in other forms, for example, aid for cyber attacks, but it's not known where it goes. I see the problem elsewhere. Does this amount of money affect Albanian reality? I think it does. I know portals that have influenced public opinion, but those portals have low costs. That money has influenced censorship, justice. For example, I know that money was spent so that I wouldn't appear on the show.
Borakaj: Were media and broadcast executives also paid?
Progni: Yes, with a blacklist that these people should not come on the shows. There are many people behind this list who have not appeared.
Borakaj: Are the beneficiaries the same in 30 years?
Progni: That's the problem because they are the same group.
