Criminalistics expert, Ervin Karamuço, commented on Tuesday evening on the arrest of Mayor Erion Veliaj on orders from SPAK, but also the clashes between him and special prosecutor, Ols Dado.
Karamuço said that the irritations are also personal since Mayor Veliaj's situation is difficult, as he is in prison.
On the 'Now' show, Karamuço said that he himself would not advise Veliaj to react in that way towards SPAK prosecutors.
"What Mr. Veliaj is doing is much more political at the moment. It is a message that he is sending to his electorate and his supporters, in a way that justifies all those accusations that have appeared in the media, because the full 360-page document is circulating, but it is still unclear. If I were Mr. Veliaj's lawyer, I would not allow him to make such communications, because you cannot clarify micro, technical things. Mr. Veliaj is not a defendant, he is a person who is being investigated and the evidence collected is evidence to raise reasonable suspicions for a measure, not to send him to prison. So these will be during a substantive process. He will go to court and be confronted at other levels, why should he put his own defense in difficulty," said Karamuço.
