The opposition protested again today in front of the Municipality of Tirana. Despite numerous calls from the police not to use violence and pyrotechnic devices in the protest, the opposition has continued with the ban.
Protesters have thrown Molotov cocktails and flares towards the City Hall building. The protesters continue with the chaos scenario, while in some cases they tried to break the Police cordon.
And while some tires were set on fire, a scenario similar to previous protests, the Police used fire extinguishers to put out the flames.
But this action of the Police has irritated some of the protesters, who have reacted to the police. The police sprayed some of the protesters with pressurized water, while the smoke created quite a few problems, thus adding to the problems created by the high weather temperatures.
