The former prefect of the Vlora District, Plator Nesturi, has reacted for the first time after his removal from office and his replacement by Evis Allushi, recently decreed as the new prefect of the district.
In a post shared on social media, Nesturi thanked Prime Minister Edi Rama for the trust he has placed in him, as well as all the institutional collaborators and citizens with whom he has collaborated during his tenure.
He considers his period as prefect as a time of shared challenges, which were faced with institutional cooperation and dedication.
" I thank the Prime Minister, Mr. Edi Rama, for the opportunity he gave me by appointing me Prefect of the Vlora District and to contribute to the community to which I belong in the dynamic development of our area ," Nesturi writes.
He also expresses gratitude to the mayors of the region and citizens from all local units, considering them partners in the institutional journey. His response lacks any reference to the reasons for the departure or any criticism of the way the replacement was made.
" All together we have made it possible during this period to cooperate and face the challenges that time has brought us, to add other stones in favor of the future of the country and our families ," Nesturi further writes, leaving open his commitment to the future.
Meanwhile, the decreeing of Evis Allushi as the new prefect of Vlora is part of a new wave of changes in prefectures, recently initiated by the government, as part of the reorganization of central government representatives in the regions.

I thank the Prime Minister, Mr. Edi Rama, for the opportunity he gave me by appointing me Prefect of the Vlora District and to contribute to the community to which I belong in the dynamic development of our entire area.
I appreciate and value the mayors of the seven municipalities of the Vlora region for their close and fruitful cooperation in these months. I am grateful to all the citizens from Vlora, Himara, Selenica, Saranda, Finiqi, Delvina and Konispoli, for their messages of appreciation in these days, making me more dedicated to contributing to them in every position and stage of my life.
All together, we have made it possible during this period to cooperate and face the challenges that time has brought us, to add other stones in favor of the future of the country and our families.
