Murder of Astrit Kalasa/ After the judges, prosecutors gather: Political attacks increase uncertainty!

Prosecutors have organized a meeting today following the murder of Appeals Judge Astrit Kalaja.

The meeting was called by Prosecutor General Olsjan Çela and was attended by heads of prosecution offices and prosecutors from all prosecution offices.

This meeting comes after the extraordinary meeting of the judges.

The meeting analyzed the state of security parameters in the institution and the need for their improvement, the working conditions in which prosecutors work, and infrastructure problems related to the security of work environments.

Prosecutors raised concerns about the continuous public attacks against them, which increase uncertainty in the exercise of their duties.

The conclusions of this meeting will be further discussed with prosecutors in meetings to be held in each prosecutor's office to then follow up with a plan of institutional measures in coordination with other justice institutions.
