Fredi Beleri reacted for the first time after leaving the cell after 16 months of imprisonment.
He says he is proud, but not happy, as according to him justice was not served as it should be.
Skai.gr, citing Beler's reaction, says that he will take his case to the European Court of Human Rights.
"After 16 months of continuous detention, I am now free and proud, but certainly not happy because the rule of law and democracy in Albania was not restored, the institutions did not function, justice was not delivered as it should be. Today's decision is just a drop in the ocean of justice. My fight now begins. It goes without saying that I will complain to the European Court of Human Rights about what the Albanian regime denied me in a coup", Beleri said, among other things.
The Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Fier accepted Fredi Beleri's request for conditional release from prison today on September 2.
This was the fourth hearing in the Court of Fier for the review of this request by Fredi Beleri. With this decision, Beleri gains freedom 1 and a half months before the remaining time for serving the sentence.
In today's session, Beleri was represented by lawyer Geni Gjyzari. Meanwhile, it was the judge of the case, Alfred Konomi, who examined the evidence and arguments presented by both sides.
After the decision, the lawyer of the case, Geni Gjyzari, gave a short statement to the media.
