The rector of the University of Tirana, Artan Hoxha, will be re-elected again without any opponent, after four years of leadership at this university.
In the meantime, the names of the candidates of the main units of UT have been revealed, where out of 6 Faculties, there will also be no competition in three of them.
Dhori Kule, who has started his career as an academic leader since 1997, is leaving this year, because he is not allowed the right to re-candidate according to the legal changes in higher education. However, it seems that the trusted man, Bernard Dosti, who already holds the position of vice rector at UT, but will compete alone in the elections for dean at the Faculty of Economics, will be placed in charge.
Candidates for dean in the Faculties of the University of Tirana, from 6 Faculties in 3 elections without competition
-Faculty of Economics, since 2016 the dean has left Dhori Kule, Bernard Dosti is the only candidate.
-Faculty of Law- Dorina Hoxha, the only candidate (currently she is in charge).
-Faculty of Foreign Languages, single candidate Esmeralda Kromidha (currently head).
-Faculty of History-Philology - Sabri Laçi leaves, Mark Marku and Dhimitër Doka compete
-Faculty of Natural Sciences- Spiro Dushku's mandate ends, Eglantina Kalluçi and Endrit Xhina compete
-Faculty of Social Sciences - Edmond Rapti ends 2 mandates, Edvin Lame and Eliona Kulluri are in the running.
