Bargains for the Supervisory Council of the BoA/Internationals are set in motion
Internationals have been mobilized to stop the capture of the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania.
The Assembly has initiated procedures for 3 vacant positions, to replace Luljeta Minxhozi, Violeta Staka and Artan Hoxha. There are 20 candidates in the race and there are rumors that the SP and the DP are bargaining for the candidates.
"Pamfleti" denounced the fact that Rama and Berisha have decided to leave Ritvan Boden in the BoA. According to the law on the Bank of Albania, the mandate of the member of the Supervisory Council has also ended for Ridvan Bode, but the Assembly and the Bank of Albania, in agreement between them, have not declared the end of his mandate nor the announcement of the vacancy.
But it seems that the DP and the SP are also bargaining for the 3 new names. And in this regard, internationals have come into play. The EU Ambassador, Silvio Gonzato, went to the Assembly precisely on this topic and demanded transparency.
Edi Rama-Giorgia Meloni/ The causes of the big break!
The lack of contact between Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, after the last government meeting in Rome, signals not simply a cooling off, but a strong political break between the two countries.
Rama's visit to the Vatican, without any parallel meeting at Palazzo Chigi, reinforces the perception of his international isolation at a critical moment, when SPAK has launched an offensive against the government and the AKSHI scandal has shaken the majority. Despite the concessions given on the immigration issue and efforts to build a bridge with the Trump administration through Meloni, the Albanian prime minister seems to have lost political support in Rome. The signs of nervousness and the lack of diplomatic contacts indicate that the isolation has just begun and that Rama's political crisis is entering a new phase of escalation.
Giorgia Meloni seems to have "made oil" for her political brother Edi Rama, with whom she has had no contact since the meeting of the two governments in Rome.
The Italian Prime Minister has significantly increased her international positions, from Japan to the US, becoming Donald Trump's main interlocutor with the European Union, but it seems that she has completely turned off the lights with the Albanian Prime Minister.
How the Port of Durres chain was rewarded/ From the Waste and Drug Gate to the Ministry of Defense
On October 30, 2024, "Pamphlet", based on evidence, actions, inactions and responsibility for the waste that passed through the Durrës Sea Port, asked the Durrës Prosecutor's Office and SPAK to take under investigation Minister Mirela Kumbaro, who had granted the permit, as well as the Port Director, Pirro Vengu, who allowed their passage without control.
SPAK did not launch an investigation in principle, while in the Durrës Prosecutor's Office's notification of the persons responsible for the smuggling of "Kurum" waste, their names were missing from the list.
Untouched by justice, Mirela Kumbaro is today a member of parliament and Minister of Education, while Pirro Vengu is a member of parliament and Minister of Defense, where they continue their political and administrative activities with the blessing of Edi Rama.
Typical is the case of Pirro Vengu and his subordinates, responsible for allowing the smuggling of hazardous toxic waste.
Four months after the waste smuggling scandal was discovered and the investigation by the Durrës Prosecutor's Office began, Prime Minister Edi Rama appointed Pirro Vengu as Minister of Defense, and on May 11, 2025, he made him a member of parliament through a closed list in the Vlora district.
"Tirana has extraordinary girls"/ Norway launches investigations into former Prime Minister Thorbjorn Jagland
Norway has launched an investigation into former Prime Minister Thorbjorn Jagland, on suspicion of corruption stemming from his contact with American financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Jagland served as prime minister from 1996 to 1997. He was secretary general of the Council of Europe from 2009 to 2019 and chaired the Norwegian Nobel Committee from 2009 to 2015.
In a statement on Thursday, Norway's anti-corruption agency, Okokrim, said it had asked the Foreign Ministry to lift the immunity granted to Jagland as a former diplomat. Okokrim's head, Pal Lonseth, said the investigation would focus on whether Jagland had received gifts or favors in connection with his positions, international media reported.
The veteran politician is mentioned several times in a slew of files from the Epstein Estate released last week by US authorities.
In an email to Epstein from May 2012, Jagland wrote: “I have been to Tirana (Albania) extraordinary girls.” In another email from January 2013, the former prime minister wrote about plans to visit Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean with his wife and sons, adding: “I can’t just go on with young women, as you know.”
