Considered an icon of Albanian music, Simaku left in 1991 for the USA and has since disappeared from the eyes of the Albanian public.

Analyst Ergys Mërtiri said that this way of pity is to tear him once again by throwing him in public.

"There is a perversion, a desire to see the other's wound. This is the spectacle of suffering, it is not a movie. The best way to respect suffering is to guarantee it privacy.

Normally suffering requires intimacy. We are not even respecting the suffering of others", said Mërtiri.

He said that all that happened was a spectacle of suffering. "They brought it out to the public, made it an object of spectacle", he said.
