Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that the Constitutional Court is unlikely to declare illegal the telephone interceptions of criminal groups, such as those carried out through the platforms Sky Ecc and EncroChat, which have been considered legitimate by international reference.
He expresses concern that criminal groups may exert pressure on institutions, as these interceptions are the last hope for the clarification of their activities by the Belgian and French authorities.
" I had doubts that criminal groups would exert pressure. It is the last hope, not only for the criminal groups that have fallen into the net of the services of Belgium and France in the disclosure of Sky Ecc. In recent days, the process for the replacement of the head of the GJK is not related to this issue. I don't mean to be abusive. I think the motives are two: it is the conjuncture within the type of colleagues and the second these conjunctures have found in the support of the political will to remove him and find a suitable person for several years. Regarding criminal groups, I believe that the Constitutional Court also has international references that I cannot ignore. They have spoken about the legitimacy of disclosing Sky and Encro as criminal platforms. The whitewashing of communications are considered legal.
