
The Central Election Commission (CEC) has addressed the Albanian Parliament and the Ministry of Finance for additional funds for the Diaspora vote.
This addition is reportedly required to cover the post office, as well as to increase staff with employees in the framework of the May 11 parliamentary elections.
It is learned that the total amount of mail for the diaspora that is required to be covered as an expense is 12.5 million euros. Of these, 5 million euros were and the additional amount is 7.5 million euros.
The CEC also requested 80 additional employees for the Diaspora, as registrations are expected to reach 250,000 emigrants.
All this information has been included in the two requests addressed to the Assembly and the Ministry of Finance, with the relevant technical specifications and details by position, with a total budget. The CEC has also decided to develop electronic voting for several areas in the Tirana district.
