Analyst Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that the debates on the Electoral Reform cannot change the result of the 2025 elections.
Spahiu said that this is known by every Albanian and international factor, who according to him, are not participating in any round about the Electoral Reform.
He added that the only thing that could bring change in Albania is the vote of immigrants, which according to him, the old political actors do not approve, because if they did according to him, they would commit political suicide.
"There is no call from the international factor for this, they have not become part of a table for electoral reform, for a simple reason, because whatever changes in the electoral code, every Albanian and every foreigner knows what the result will be of the 2025 elections.
Therefore it is in vain that anyone who can hope that a change in the law can bring about a change in the result is tired. I think that Albania is unprepared today" , said Spahiu in "Euronews Albania".
Spahiu further said that the current parliament will not approve the right to vote for immigrants.
According to him, political leaders in Albania, such as Rama, Berisha and Meta, would not commit political suicide by allowing 1.5 million Albanians who live abroad to vote and who could make a big difference.
" What could bring the big electoral change, which are 1 and a half million immigrants that they do not approve of the right to vote, because they themselves have taken away the right to vote. Berisha-Meta-Rama. If they did it would be political suicide for all three. I think that music, the old violin for Electoral Reform, is nothing but a waste of time ", said Spahiu.
