The board of "Albanian Excellence" has honored with the "Grand Excellence 2023" award the founder
and General Director of SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria, Mr. Avni Ponari.
The award was presented to Mr. Ponari during a gala dinner in Tirana as a sign of gratitude for all
the great contribution he has made throughout his activity at the head of the most of insurance in Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia. "You, as the General Director of SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria since February 22, 1999, have it should be the leading and most successful insurance market company in Albania and inthe Region.
You are one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country, becoming not only a
leader in the business field, but also having a positive impact on the developments of economic and social life ,
sporting and cultural of the country", it is said, among other things, in the motivation of "Albanian Excellence".
Mr. Avni Ponari is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country, whose ventures have turned him, not only into a leader in the business field.He is one of the most important investors with significant impact on the economy andsuccessful manager of a number of other enterprises in the field of tourism andfinancial enterprises/businesses .
Since 2009, Mr. Ponari is the Honorary Consul General of Japan in Albania, Chairman of the Board
and President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Albania - Japan; Member of some of the most important Chambers of Commerce and Industry between Albania and other countries and President of the Albanian Basketball Federation.
He graduated from the Navy at the University of Vlora and from the Faculty of Law at the
University of Tirana, while he received a number of different qualifications and trainings from
the most popular insurance and reinsurance companies in the world.
Mr. Ponari is the winner of many national and international awards and accolades:
