After many years of waiting, the Namazgja mosque will be inaugurated tomorrow. It will be Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogna who will host the shrine, as the funds for its construction have been provided by Turkey. The reason for the postponement of the inauguration was the clash between the Turkish government and the Muslim Community, but it seems that now a common denominator has been found for the direction of the mosque.

This new religious building, the construction of which started in 2015, was realized with an investment of nearly 30 million euros. With a capacity to host over 5,000 worshippers, the mosque remains one of the largest projects of its kind in the country. Its classical motifs are inspired by the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, harmonizing with Albanian elements that resemble the traditional style houses of Berat.

Meanwhile, what stands out is that the mosque is filled with Turkish and Albanian flags. Although KMSH is independent from any other country, again Turkey stepped in and this mosque will be jointly administered.
