Commenting on the opposition protest on October 7, the lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said that the DP has the last bridge left, the one of survival without Berisha.
In an interview for "Report TV", Spahiu also considered the strong statements of the representative of the German CDU in the PPE, Krichbaum, who said that Berisha should be in prison with the charges he has.
According to him, the message was clear, the DP risks melting after the 2025 elections if Sali Berisha remains in charge.
" DP has the last bridge left. It has destroyed bridges with the USA and Britain. The last bridge to membership in the EPP. They still consider a hope for this party to survive without Sali Berisha. The CDU's message was clear: Get rid of Sali Berisha, otherwise this party will disintegrate. Same with Yuri Kim removing the old leader. The CDU leader went further that he should be in prison. These popular parties will probably not intervene before the elections, just as the USA declared the status non grata two weeks after the elections. After the elections, they will consider its exclusion from European membership ", said Spahiu.
