Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu commented on the acts of violence at the PD protest on Monday. According to him, the throwing of fireworks and the breaking of windows resembles the actions of football ultras after a derby match, such as the one between Tirana and Partizan.
Invited to "Report TV", Spahiu said that those actions are not related to the political actions of a party that declares civil disobedience as an action.
" In one sentence: When people raise their expectations, disappointment comes. It came first to the electorate. They expected the biggest protest in history, which would bring down the regime. In fact, it was the smallest, weakest, most disorganized, most failed protest in the history of Democrat protests. It resembles the reaction after the matches of the ultras groups of Partizan or Tirana.
Who burn trees, break windows or set off fireworks. It has nothing to do with the political concept of civil disobedience. It means not knowing the institutions. It happened in 1991, all of Albania went on strike. It also happened in 1997 when they violently overthrew the government. 3 thousand people come out to go around and use fireworks, it has nothing to do with the institutions that were closed. All the administration and leaders were at home watching the show. Or it was a theater and a game, but basically they opened their arms to the opponent," he said.
