Analyst Skënder Minxhozi spoke about the 2025 parliamentary elections. He said that the spring elections will not overturn or achieve political rotation.
According to him, the parties in Albania are a mixture of ideas, interests and theses. Minxhozi emphasizes that political parties compete as figures and names and not as a clash of platforms.
"The elections in our country have represented a development that can ruin a lot of work while it can fix very little. If we are not talking about overturning or rotation of party teams, platforms, ideological division, and I don't think that something like this can happen. Apart from others, the parties in Albania are a mishmash of ideas, interests, theses and platforms that have lost all division around policies where the right is used for pensioners, the left protects the oligarchs and flirts with those who are the big capital in the country.
We are in a situation where the parties will not compete on the basis of what they defend as a philosophical view of the state, but they will compete as figures as names, as concrete candidates who want to take that village or city, but not as platforms that collide for today and the future. These choices have great potential to do damage to those that go wrong.
We have always proven that election years are tense years, because this is also related to the management of votes and how long the counting of votes will last", said Minxhozi for "Abc News".
