The ballot template for the May 11, 2025 elections has been published.
As can be seen from the footage, the ballot paper appears very large, compared to ballot papers in previous elections.
The ballot paper contains the names of the parties and the names of the open list candidates. In Fier, there are 16 boxes of the names of the open list candidates, where you can vote for one of them alongside the party or coalition. While in Tirana, each coalition or party has 37 open list candidates that can be voted for, out of a total of 49 possible candidates for each party or coalition. The size of the ballot paper model for the Tirana district is 59 cm by 42 cm.
This is only a preliminary model, as the official list will only be approved when the registration of political parties that will compete in the May 11 elections has been completed, and the lists of candidates for deputies have been completed.
The production of ballots begins on March 25, which is considered sufficient time for a significant portion of them to be mailed to the homes of Albanians who will vote from abroad.
So far, nearly 130,000 requests for voting from abroad have been approved, mainly from Italy, Greece, Germany, the USA, the United Kingdom and France, while over 36,200 requests have been rejected for inaccuracies in the documents, despite the high and diverse technology to facilitate this process.
