Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu commented on the early elections in Germany, stating that Albanians with the right to vote have chosen the CDU or SPD.
According to Spahiu, these have been more liberal parties regarding immigration policies, unlike the far-right AfD, which is in favor of closing borders and against the influx of foreigners.
"It is difficult to say who the Albanians in Germany voted for. They are mainly informed that together with the AfD leader they went to Belgrade at the invitation of Dacic, they expressed their views on the rights of Serbs in Kosovo. They participated in the AfD convention from Belgrade, the Albanian votes went towards the Social Democrats of Scholz and the Christian Democrats of Merz, who is expected to be the next chancellor. We have a tradition with this party, a victory for the CDU, which is around 30%, gives it the right to form a government coalition. Also the votes of other Balkan citizens, nearly 7 million foreigners who have the right to vote. Today over 90% voted for the liberal parties, CDU, CSU", Spahiu told Report TV.
