Diaspora activist Florian Haçkaj joined the 42nd anti-government protest in Tirana, where he declared that Prime Minister Edi Rama's public attacks on him will not stop him from participating in civic protests.
Haçkaj said he had traveled from Switzerland with his family to join the rally, adding that the protest is inspiring more and more Albanians at home and abroad. According to him, the protest has now crossed the borders of Albania and is being organized everywhere where Albanians live.
Haçkaj called on citizens not to retreat, but to unite their families and friends in protest, emphasizing that only through mass participation can change be achieved.
He also demanded the implementation of the Constitutional Court's decision on the funds opposed by the protesters and concluded his speech by calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"Today I came from Switzerland with my family directly to the protest. You are the heroes of all of us. There have been protests everywhere, our motivation is you. This disgraced prime minister made a 7-minute video about me, as he has done for many of you. The goal is to intimidate, we are not afraid at all, neither BB, nor TB, who have distributed the video like sheep. We will be here every day. Don't be intimidated, these people are ashamed when free people come out every day. The decision of the Criminal Court should be made that that money should not be paid out. The time of fear is over, today is the 42nd day. Use your friends and family, when the number decreases, we should all come out. Unity makes strength. Rama should resign," said the activist.
