The government has planned the expansion of the Tirana-Durres highway. The Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, presented today the projects foreseen in the new budget.
I consider Balluku an important budget which will be distributed, focusing on road investments to facilitate traffic and circulation in the country.
" We have foreseen within this budget the expansion of the Tirana-Durres highway with two lanes on each side. One lane to add to the existing road and one emergency lane. Construction of the Elbasan-Lekaj road axis, "Corridor 8", first phase. Expansion of the Levan-Gjirokastër road, first phase. Traffic monitoring center, continuation of the second phase. Construction of the Berat-Ballaban road, Lot 2 ," said Minister Belinda Balluku.
More money will go towards road transport, which will receive from this budget 23 billion ALL, followed by the water supply and sewerage sector 11.5 billion ALL and 8.8 billion ALL for maritime transport.
Energy as an important sector will receive 3.2 billion ALL.
" We are on the right track in terms of energy. "It is the right moment to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Italian side for the start of the construction of the interconnection, the underwater line that will connect the coasts of Albania with the coasts of Italy ," said Balluku.
