An apartment on the first floor of a building in Korça was engulfed in flames this morning near the area called "Ura e Fajancë".
It is learned that a 64-year-old woman was inside the apartment, sick, who was suffocated by them and was immediately taken out.
The circumstances of how the fire started are still unknown, while it is known that the fire department is at the scene to extinguish the flames.
Even the police with increased forces made it possible to leave all the people who were inside the building where the fire broke out.
"On 03.02.2024, around 07:30, in district no. 8, Korçë, there was a fire in the apartment of a RE citizen, about 64 years old, who was asphyxiated by the smoke and was taken to the hospital where she is receiving medical help " , the police announced.
