The fire situation in the Municipality of Poliçan is also worsening. More specifically, in the Terpan administrative unit, the flames have gotten out of control and the fire has taken on extraordinary proportions, risking burning the surrounding villages.
The Ministry of Defense has asked residents of the villages of Vokopolë, Zhapokike, Plasnik and Panarit, as well as areas within the "Balloll" Protected Reserve, to immediately leave their homes and cooperate with authorities for safe evacuation.
"The fire situation in the Municipality of Poliçan, Terpan Administrative Unit, has gotten out of control and has taken on extraordinary proportions, risking the burning of surrounding villages.
"Residents of the villages of Vokopolë, Zhapokike, Plasnik and Panarit, as well as areas within the "Balloll" Protected Reserve, are requested to immediately leave their homes and cooperate with the authorities for safe evacuation," an official announcement from the authorities states.
