The Ministry of Defense has announced that in the last 24 hours, 38 fires have been registered in our country, 7 of which are still active.
The most serious situation is in Finiq, where 51 families in Velahovo and Livina have been evacuated due to the danger posed by the fires.
The fire in the village of Bistrica is being extinguished with the help of vehicles from the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces. Work to extinguish the fire in the villages of Dhrovjan and Krongj is also continuing intensively.
The aforementioned fires are large in size and in rugged terrain, and for this reason, an Air Force helicopter and a Croatian Canadair aircraft are assisting in extinguishing them.
Also, fires continue to be active near the Skërfica Tunnel, at the top of Lucë, in the village of Bolenë, Himara, in the village of Malaj i Epërm in Rrëshen and Mount Allushin in Klos.
In the municipality of Poliçan, outside the territory of the Mechanical Plant, a fire has broken out in an area of bushes and olive groves. The fire has been under control since yesterday evening and today 15 firefighters from the Poliçan Municipal Fire Department have been engaged.
The latest outbreak was registered in the village of Zagore, Shkrel administrative unit, Malësi e Madhe municipality, where work is being done in difficult terrain to extinguish the fire in an area of bushes and grass.
