The situation with the fire that engulfed the used clothing market in the 5 May area continues to be problematic this evening.
Dozens of firefighters are battling the flames to bring the situation under control. Meanwhile, business owners located inside the market, but not directly affected by the fire, have begun removing merchandise from their stores to save them from the flames.
To manage the emergency, assistance has also been requested from firefighters in Elbasan, Vora, as well as from the Army, in an effort to prevent the spread of the fire and ensure the evacuation of properties remaining intact.
Authorities appeal for citizens to stay away from the area and allow professionals to operate safely.
