Two branches in Albania, the same owners, no financial control and a government that dares not intervene...
Two days ago, the Maltese-Hungarian company "Wizz Air" repeated the next scandal, deceiving and delaying around 400 passengers on flights from Bologna and Bergamo to Tirana, who were abandoned without a solution, without treatment and without information at Brindisi airport, at 3 am on January 7, 2025.
This case has been repeated many times in other destinations, treating passengers like rags, while the Albanian state, which has licensed the company "Wizz Air", continues to remain silent and does not impose any sanctions for the fraud, theft, mistreatment, disregard and humiliation of passengers.
According to the investigation conducted by "Pamfleti", connections and exchange of dirty financial interests between the Albanian government and the Maltese and Hungarian owners of "Wizz Air" have been established.
According to official data, the company "Wizz Air" has one logo, but is licensed in Albania with two branches:
- "Wizz Air Malta Albanian Branch"
- "Wizz Air Hungary Ltd Albanian Branch".
One has been declared at the National Business Center as a foreign branch of the company "Wizz Air Malta Limited", headquartered in Valletta, Malta.
While the other has been declared as a branch of the foreign company "Wizz Air Hungary Légiközlekedési Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság", headquartered in Budapest, Hungary.
But both of these "Wizz Air" branches, created and licensed in Albania, as well as the two Maltese and Hungarian "parent" companies, are in fact the same company: with the same administrators and legal representatives, with the same destinations and fleet of aircraft, with the same address in Albania - "Sami Frashëri" Street, "Pallati i Kuq", near the Artificial Lake of Tirana - as well as with the same customer office, auditors and telephone number.
The company "Wizz Air Hungary Ltd Albanian Branch" was established and licensed in Albania on June 19, 2020, with a founding capital of 187 thousand 695 euros, while "Wizz Air Malta Albanian Branch" was established and licensed on June 6, 2023, without declaring a founding capital.
However, both of these companies, which are branches of the same Maltese-Hungarian foreign company, have been operating in Albania for 3 and 5 years, respectively, and have not declared their balance sheets to the National Business Center and the tax administration, hiding their income, expenses and large profits, despite being the dominant operator in air transport at Rinas airport.
According to confidential information from the Ministry of Finance, the heads of Taxation, the National Business Center, Albcontrol and the Civil Aviation Authority have received orders from the government dome not to request balances, not to demand payment of taxes and fees and not to control the financial activity of the company "Wizz Air".
This constitutes a scandal with clear content of organized financial crime, for which SPAK should investigate which government officials have given the order for the company "Wizz Air" to be allowed to conduct business activities without obligations to the state and without any financial control.
Or, more clearly: which government official or officials "eat" from the company "Wizz Air", in exchange for not declaring its balance sheets and its inviolability, even when it severely abuses passengers./ Pamphlet

Cdo dege ne cdo shtet eshe subjekt i pageses se taksave te shteit perkates. Aq me teper ne rastin konkret ku kemi te bejme me baze operuese ne shtetin tone. Pra ka nje flote te dislokur si baze ne Tirane, cka patjeter e ben subjekt te pagimit te taksave perkatese. Autoritetet mbikqyrese jane pergjegjese per mos vjeljen e taksave te ketij subjekti.
Te ulesh ne nje aeroport tjeter per arsye te kohes se keqe eshte e pranueshme por ti lesh pasagjeret pa as nje arsye apo shpjegim tjeter nga ana e kompanise apo te ekijpazhit se si do te operohet per me vone per shume ore eshte e pa pranueshme dhe me plot kuptimin e fjales SKANDAL.... une jam bashke udhetar i ketij udhetimi te mundimshem....
