The fire at the 'Metropol' center in Lushnje has gotten out of control again. It is learned that the top floor of the center, where there is a wooden bar, was completely engulfed in flames.
The upper part of the bar is made of wood and the flames have completely burnt it. Also, the wood material caused the flames to get out of control.
Operational forces are working to normalize the situation. Fortunately, no one was injured. It is learned that the army also helped to normalize the situation. Firefighters from Tirana, Durrës, Fieri and Elbasan have also arrived.
So, as reported, the fourth floor, where the fire started, is completely melted by the flames, which have started to descend towards the facade, worsening the situation and complicating it for the fire brigade, who are unable to enter the building due to the size of flames.
The flames first started around 2:40 p.m. and first spread to the second and third floors of the center. Then they spread to the fourth floor. The intervention of the RENEA forces was needed to make it possible to evacuate the residents in the apartments, whose lives were endangered by the heavy smoke.
