Sali Berisha's meeting in Athens was served as a meeting with the diaspora, where he did not talk about the problems of Albanians there, but attacked the judiciary, because he convicted former minister Spiro Ksera for corruption and Fredi Beleri for electoral crime, and promised to return and fulfill the bargains with the Greeks.
This stance is not a mistake by Sali Berisha, but his scheme to Greekize the DP, through the channels of anti-Albanian circles to return him to power, swearing that he will restart power with the bargain of donating maritime space.
Along these lines is the union with the Greek PBDNJ party of Vangjel Dule and the Greek-American lobby of Virio-Epirus, which openly develop anti-Albanian propaganda, activities and acts even within the territory of Albania.
This line of Hellenization of the DP is also being confirmed by information that has begun to emerge from the dome of the blue headquarters, that the son of Fredi Beleri, named Petros Beleri, Vice-chairman of the organization "Revival Movement of Northern Epirus" with headquarters in Athens and branches in Saranda, Dropull and Himara, will be included in the closed lists of this party.
It is said that the closed list for DP deputies will also include Petros Gjikuria, a member of the leadership of the "Pan-Epirote Federation" based in the US, whom the DP, PBDNJ, Golden Dawn, Mavi, Mega and PL nominated for mayor in Himara.
Sali Berisha established this connection with the "Pan-Epirote" federation on December 3, 2002, when he met with Nicholas Gage at the Democratic Party.
While Sali Berisha is joining them in the hope that the anti-Albanian Greek lobby in the US will influence to remove the "non grata" label and without returning him to power, promising to fulfill every request of the "Pan-Epirote Greek Federation", among them the autonomy of the Dropulli area, the recognition of Himara as having a Greek majority, the donation of maritime space, etc.
That is why it has been closely linked to the PBDNJ by making Vangjel Dule an MP and running Fredi Beleri and Petros Gjikurina for mayor in Himara; while now, according to reports, it will make Fredi Beleri's son, Petros Beleri and Petros Gjikurina, MPs.
In several statements given to the Greek media, Vangjel Dule stated that instead of Fredi Beleri, who was sentenced to prison for an electoral crime, the DP would have nominated Petros Beleri, but it seems that he has left him to become an MP through the closed list.
