In the last 3 years, the Sea Ports of Vlora and Saranda and for 10 years the Port of Shengjin, report losses, although they have income from port services of goods, passengers and vessels, while the government finances 100% of the investments and administrative expenses.
The Sea Port of Vlora, from the balance with a profit of 28 million ALL in 2019, surprisingly as if with a control panel and without any consequence of a natural disaster, in 2020 has reported a loss of 1 million Euros, while for 2021 it has reported a loss of 550 million ALL.
For 2022, despite the fact that the National Business Center is not publishing the balance, the Port of Vlora has reported a 1.7 million Euro loss; while for the year 2023, according to the sources provided by the "Pamphlet" from the Ministry of Finance, the loss will be reported in the amount of 2 million Euros.
The director of the Port of Vlora is Ilir Banushi, former finance director of the mafia fund "Besa" and for 10 years the deputy mayor of the Municipality of Vlora for finances, tenders and assets until December 5, 2022 when he was appointed head of the seaport.
The Chairman of the Board is Erlis Hereni, adviser to Belinda Balluk and director of the state company, partner with Muhamed Alabbar's pyramid company in the towers of Durrës; while Board members are Oriana Arapi and Bejko Late, both Directors in the Ministry of Finance.
The Port of Saranda, in 2019, came out with a profit of 410 million lek, since 2005 it was profitable; while in 2020 it came out with a loss of 624 million ALL and in 2021 with a loss of 410 million ALL.
For 2022, despite the fact that KKB is not publishing the balance sheet, the Port of Saranda has reported a loss of 940 thousand euros; while for 2023, the loss will be reported in the amount of 1.1 million Euros.
The Director of the Port of Saranda is an official of the SP, Alket Qëndro, convicted of obstruction of justice, former Director of Taxes from January 3, 2014 to July 2020 when he was appointed Director of the Port.
While the Board members are Denis Demiri, official of the Competition Authority and Vikrita Čuto and Ina Dhaskali, both directors of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Finance.
