Prishtina / Sami Mazreku, director of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau (BKS), has resigned from this position today.
Mazrek has confirmed his resignation through a post on his Facebook social network.
About his resignation, Pamphlet reported a month ago.
According to our source within BKS, Mazrek would remain in December as a resigned director, as it happened.
Mazrek was aware that he would be dismissed from the position of the director of the BKS due to the countless abuses he has made within this institution, which have been denounced through a series of articles by 'Pamphlet' and for which the investigations have already started by bodies of justice in Kosovo, therefore on December 4, as we reported, he resigned, "avoiding dismissal" and his departure, according to the agreement he reached with his colleagues in the BKS.
According to this agreement, he remained in this position in December. And just now he officially announced his resignation publicly.
Today Pamphlet's sources have also confirmed that Mazrek was forced to leave after the audit by the Central Bank of Kosovo (CBK), after the owners told him enough, Sami leaves the BKS. The audit result confirmed high risk for the financial system
"Today I have decided to resign from the position of director of the Kosovo Security Bureau (BKS), thanking everyone one by one for the cooperation you have offered me during the last 38 months that I have been running an important institution such as Kosovo Security Bureau", he wrote in his resignation letter published today.
In this clarification for opinion of his resignation, he has listed some as he called "for the benefit of the owners of the insurance companies"
While he spoke very briefly about the reason for his resignation.
"The non-approval of my request that, together with the decision taken by the Assembly to delegate the handling of claims to insurance companies, to transfer a significant part of the staff related to the handling of claims, as well as the non-approval of the budget for funded education where includes the publication of the newspaper, the maintenance of the website, the organization of roundtables, conferences with journalists, seminars with journalists, graphic design... etc. have made it impossible for me to continue being the head of the BKS. So, once again, I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to manage such an institution and I feel proud that I managed to leave it in the state it is today", said Mazreku. However, nowhere has he mentioned the investigations launched against him by the investigative bodies of Kosovo for misuse. / Pamphlet
