The documents show that during 2011 alone, Idajet Ismailaj's Albstar company benefited from 22 million euros from Bankers in the context of a scheme to inflate expenses and extort Albania's underground wealth.
The Albstar company of oligarch Idajet Ismailaj turns out to be the main contracting firm of Bankers in the 5.5 billion euro hole, with fictitious invoices, diversion of profits, state fraud, profiting from the VAT scheme, artificially inflating expenses and money laundering. The criminal activity between Idajet Ismailaj and the Bankers dome is also reflected in the fragile file of the Fier Prosecutor's Office.
The documents show that in 2011 alone, Idajet Ismailaj's Albstar company received 22 million euros from Bankers in a scheme to inflate expenses and extort Albania's underground wealth. The company is suspected of receiving tens of millions more in subsequent years.
In September 2016, Idajet Ismailaj and his family founded the construction company Reas 16, with the name changed to IR shpk, which he initially controlled through the company Finman and then through Albstar, the beneficiary of 100 million euros in public funds. Through this company, Idajet Ismailaj began to circulate hundreds of thousands of euros of Bankers, according to the Fier Prosecutor's Office, with fictitious invoices.
Very soon, the annual turnover of the IR shpk company reached 6 million euros, while profits were around 2 million euros. State institutions such as AKBN and the prosecution have proven that in both lines the invoices were fictitious, meaning no work was done, the money that should have been paid into the state treasury was simply stolen.
Where did the money end up?
It is a question that is up to SPAK to answer, as all the facts and evidence show that we are dealing with a genuine criminal organization. However, to the attention of SPAK and public opinion, we are bringing another fact.
From the verification of the Albstar company's payroll, it results that Sadik Ismailaj and Idajet Ismailaj, father and son, owners of the company, have set themselves a salary of 85 thousand euros per month (170 thousand euros per month for both), about 2 million euros per year.
While the monthly salary of the owners of companies with annual turnover of hundreds of millions of euros is the same as the salary of a director in the public administration, Idajet Ismailaj received a salary of 1 million euros per year, the product of money stolen with Bankers, which in turn has extorted the underground wealth of Albanians.
Another part of the money is suspected to have gone to build the stadium tower and for villas at the 'tiny spot' of Mirela Kumbaro, within the Protected Area of Butrint Park. The environmental crime started as a 'tiny spot' and today has ended in an environmental catastrophe.
Idajet Ismailaj's Albstar company is an example of how the common wealth of Albanians is stolen, how stolen money is laundered in towers and resorts, it is an example of impunity, a challenge to SPAK and the return of theft to normality./ Prapaskena
