Citizens' deposits are not safe at Raiffeisen Bank. The bank is responsible for approving bad loans and putting depositors' money at risk...

Raiffeisen Bank Kosova has been fined by the Central Bank of Kosovo. The fine, in the amount of 800,000.00 euros, was billed to the RKB for violation of the regulations of the Central Bank.

Sources of 'Pamfleti' confirm that the senior management at Raiffeisen Bank Kosova has endangered citizens' deposits. Inappropriate lending practices under the management of Anita Kovacic CEO at RBK can potentially affect depositors and put their money at risk.

The penalty imposed (in the amount of 800,000.00 euros) by the BKQ was taken with the aim of stopping these practices that endanger the financial system and the national security system.

However, there is also talk of influencing the heads of Raiffeisen Bank Kosova not to receive their operating license. Anita Kovacic, CEO at RBK, is responsible for approving problematic loans and putting depositors' money at risk.

"The Central Bank should be stricter and closely monitor what is happening at Raiffeisen Bank Kosova, especially considering the departure of many senior staff members," this source told Pamphleti. This could potentially affect depositors and put their money at risk due to inappropriate lending practices under the management of Anita Kovacic.

Is the Central Bank really aware of what is happening at Raiffeisen? Is Raiffeisen safe for depositors, especially given that Raiffeisen still operates in Russia and has expressed interest in withdrawing from Albania and Kosovo? This raises doubts as to whether Kosovar citizens should keep deposits in Raiffeisen Kosova.

If Raiffeisen Bank Kosova goes 'bankrupt', what will be the actions of CBK considering that now they have a management that does not even care about the customers or at least about the security of the payment system.

The Central Bank did not answer this question to the Pamphlet.

Based on Article 23, paragraph 1, Article 35, paragraph 1, subsection 1.1 of Law no. 03/L-209 for the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (Official Gazette of the Republic of Kosovo, no. 77/16 August 2010), and articles 15, 16 and 85 paragraph 1 of Law no. 04/L-093 for Banks, Microfinance Institutions and Non-Banking Financial Institutions (Official Gazette of the Republic of Kosovo, no. 11/11 May 2012), the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo at the meeting held on December 22, 2015, approved the Regulation for the adequacy of the Banks' capital, based on which regulation was made and the punishment of RBK of 800 thousand euros by the Central Bank.

Anita Kovačič, CEO at RBK and Antigona Limani- Bejtullahu, head of Marketing, have not answered the questions addressed by the Pamphlet about the endangerment of citizens' deposits.

While, on the other hand, Kosovar citizens complain about the large fees charged by this bank for various services./ Pamphlet
