A bride and groom whose wedding party ended in tragedy after a fire killed more than 100 of their guests are devastated and can no longer live in their community.
Revan, 27, and bride Haneen, 18, are devastated despite surviving the fire, which started inside a packed wedding hall in Qaraqosh, Nineveh province in northern Iraq.
Revan told Sky News that he lost 15 members of his family in the fire, adding that the bride "cannot speak" after losing 10 relatives, including her mother and brother. Her father is also in critical condition.
At least 150 others were injured.
“That was it, we can't live here anymore. I mean, every time we try to have some happiness, something tragic happens to us and it destroys the happiness. So it's better that we leave. It is true that we sit here before you alive. But inside we are dead. We are numb. We are dead inside," said Revan.
Tuesday night's wedding had about 900 guests. While initial reports of the fire's cause were fireworks set off for the couple's dance, Revan believes the fire started in the ceiling.
"It might have been a short circuit, I don't know. But the fire started from the ceiling. We felt the heat… When I heard the crack and looked at the ceiling. Then the ceiling began to melt. It only took a few seconds," he said.
The video that has emerged shows the couple dancing as pieces of fire fall from the ceiling.
During the dance, as the 27-year-old said, there was a power outage and when the power came back on, he "saw fire" on the ceiling. That's when people started "shouting and running away".
He went on to describe helping his wife, who couldn't walk because of her wedding dress.
"I grabbed my wife and started dragging her and trying to get her out of the kitchen entrance. As people left, people stepped on it. Her legs are hurt. There was only one fireman, who couldn't do anything," adds the son-in-law.
The young couple is very sad.
"Our relatives, our friends, our loved ones have all disappeared. Two days ago we buried Haneen's uncle and his two daughters. Yesterday we buried her other uncle. Today we buried his daughter and her mother. Her father is in critical condition," said Revan.
